NODLABS released the LiMiTED DVDRip of the Documentary Of Time and the City. Of Time and the City is this director’s first documentary, and it revisits some of the themes of those earlier autobiographical movies, in particular the pains and pleasures of growing up Roman Catholic and gay in postwar Britain. The film is made up chiefly of found footage and therefore lacks the mise en scene of its predecessors, but it has the added benefit of Davies’s voice-over narration, which, thanks to his training and experience as an actor, is enormously powerful. Of Time and the City is a difficult film to describe but a distinct pleasure to experience. A cinematic essay, a documentary and a memory piece, all at the same time. Judging from the sample, video is good, audio clear, your typical DVDRip quality. Enjoy!

Plot: Of Time and The City is both a love song and a eulogy to the directors birthplace of Liverpool. It is also a response to memory, reflection and the experience of losing a sense of place as the skyline changes and time takes it toll.
