Hot on the heels of his debut album ”These Streets” we have the follow up album from the Scottish Italian crooner Paolo Nutini. If you are expecting more of the same from Paolo then Sunny Side Up will either  surprise or disappoint you… In a bid to shake off his teeny bopper image this album is deliberately a more mature attempt at being a serious ‘artist’ with echoes of Paul Simon & John Martyn shining through. ”Candy” is hauntingly romantic, ”Coming Up Easy”  is pure, brooding soul & If ”Pencil Full Of Lead” doesnt get you jivin’ in your seat then you are indeed soulless. Nutini stretches himself in every direction musically and despite its mixed reviews I will be surprised if this isn’t a big hit for the gravelly voiced singer.
