IMAGiNE brings us the R5 of the animated movie Astro Boy. This computer-animated adaptation of the 1950s-created future boy from Osamu Tezuka, the godfather of Japanese manga, is actually a sweet and endearing movie.The new Astro Boy is a marvelously designed piece of cartoon kinetics, with the pleasing soft colors and rounded-metal tactility of an atomic- age daydream. Astro gets kicked off Metro City, a spaceship that hovers above Earth, and he lands in a scrap heap of robots and meets some wild-child friends. There’s a little too much lost-boys-and-girls mopiness, but when Astro becomes a robot gladiator, the movie turns happy demolition derby, and the virtuoso collisions just keep on coming. Attention, kids: It’s also packed with action! Judging from the sample, quality wise the video is very nice, the audio is acceptable, though it isn’t the best. The good news is though that the audio is all in English, so no subtitles needed here. Enjoy

Plot: Narrated by Charlize Theron and set in futuristic Metro City, “Astro Boy” is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist named Tenma (Nicolas Cage). Powered by positive “blue” energy, Astro Boy (Freddie Highmore) is endowed with super strength, x-ray vision, unbelievable speed and the ability to fly. Embarking on a journey in search of acceptance, Astro Boy encounters many other colorful characters along the way. Through his adventures, he learns the joys and emotions of being human, and gains the strength to embrace his destiny. Ultimately learning his friends and family are in danger, Astro Boy marshals his awesome super powers and returns to Metro City in a valiant effort to save everything he cares about and to understand what it takes to be a hero.

[NFO NOTES]: IMAGiNE bringing you another release….. This time round it’s the R5 of astro boy with complete english line audio…..no russian audio or subs needed. The source itself we thought was poor for an R5,very dark,colours were messed up and it also seems to change colouring throughout. Anyway we did our best at tweaking it to our liking,take or leave .
